Climate:

Nicaragua’s average temperature is 80° F, with humidity averaging at 65%. Mid-May through mid-November is the green, rainier season, when rainfall is generally short, but strong. During the night longer rain showers are common throughout the green season. The best time to visit Nicaragua is between the dry season months of June and January, because the hottest time of year is the end of the dry season. However, if visiting the San Juan River and Selentiname rain forest area, it is better to visit between December and March, or July and August.

Electricity:

Electricity in Nicaragua is 120 Volts, alternating at 60 cycles per second. If you travel to Nicaragua with a device that does not accept 120 Volts at 60 Hertz, you will need a voltage converter. Outlets in Nicaragua generally accept a plug with two parallel flat pins. If your plug has a different shape, you may need a plug adapter.
