Climate:

In Panama’s tropical climate, altitude and location are major factors in each area’s temperature. The coasts have an average annual temperature of 84° F, with lower temperatures (50-66° F) occurring at mountain elevations. Temperatures do not vary much seasonally. Days are generally warm, while nights are cooler, but the climate is quite humid year round. Colón and Panama City receive large amounts of rain with an average of 129 inches and 70 inches, respectively. January until March is when rain is generally the lightest.

Calling Internationally:

To call Panama from the United States, dial the international prefix, 011; then Panama country code, 507; and then the one digit area code, then dial the actual phone number.

Electricity:

Electricity in Panama is 110 Volts, alternating at 60 cycles per second. However, Panama city uses 120 Volts at 60 Hertz. If you travel to Panama with a device that does not accept 110 Volts at 60 Hertz, or Panama City with a device that does not accept 120 Volts at 60 Hertz, you will need a voltage converter. Outlets in Panama generally accept a flat blade plug or two parallel flat pins with ground pin. If your plug has a different shape, you may need a plug adapter.
